Teaching students correct reading of Arabic letters, their names, sounds, articulation points, and proper pronunciation in their basic form and with Arabic vowel marks (ḥarakāt), including fatḥah, kasrah, ḍammah, sukūn, tanwīn, elongations (madd), and shaddah.

Students listen to the teacher and repeat the letters multiple times to train the mouth muscles to pronounce Arabic sounds correctly.

Gradual progression from reading two-letter words to three-letter and four-letter words, then moving on to reading two-word sentences, followed by longer sentences, until the student can read complete sentences accurately.

Teaching students how to write words and sentences correctly in Naskh script.

Intensive practice in reading and writing using general reading materials to develop the ability to engage in independent reading.

Training students to read the Qur’an correctly and fluently, which represents the highest level of reading proficiency in this stage.

Training students in dictation (spelling) of spoken Arabic.

At this level, the student transitions from basic reading and writing to vocabulary development, where they learn the meanings of words related to a variety of topics in Arabic, such as:

School and education.

Family.

Traffic.

Vegetables and fruits.

Parts of the human body.

Arabic numbers.

Days of the week.

Months of the year.

Names of countries and capitals.

Climate, and more.

Students practice associating words with their meanings through various language exercises such as matching words with pictures, matching similar words, crossword puzzles, and other interactive activities.

Students practice forming words from scattered letters, filling in missing letters, and constructing sentences from separated words.

The main educational goal at these levels is to develop the student’s speaking and conversational skills, enabling them to conduct complete dialogues through effective use of the vocabulary they have learned.

Students become able to introduce themselves and communicate with the Arabic-speaking community in a way that allows them to function effectively in everyday life within an Arabic-speaking environment.

Training in listening comprehension through various lessons and exercises.

Students gain the ability to understand the main ideas of texts they read.

Continued expansion of vocabulary through more extended reading lessons included at these levels.

Students are trained in a set of basic grammatical skills and learn how to apply them effectively in both speech and writing, including:

Constructing complete Arabic sentences correctly.

Using demonstrative pronouns, relative pronouns, and personal pronouns in conversation.

Learning basic punctuation marks.

Using common linguistic styles such as questions and exclamations.

Distinguishing between past, present, and imperative verbs.

Learning antonyms to reinforce word meanings.

Differentiating between masculine and fem.
